IM (Staykryst Internal Membrane) is a cementations chemical powder compound used for the treatment of concrete and other materials containing Portland cement. It provides protection against moisture, water pressure and certain aggressive chemicals and serves as a hardening and curing agent. It also offers protection against the corrosion of reinforcing steel, concrete shrinkage cracks and frost damage.
The SIM (StayKryst Internal Membrane) is the worldwide proven way to completely waterproof structural concrete. SIM can reduce direct costs by up to 20%, design time by up to 10%, and save weeks of construction time. SIM has been used in countries world-wide, resulting in truly waterproof, no suction concrete, with lower shrinkage, higher tensile strength, slight flexibility increase and corrosion-free service life. SIM is suitable for all concrete structures including roofs, walls, basements, floors and foundations as well as marine concrete, or industrial processing where corrosion would otherwise occur.
